# How do secure payment links work?

When advance payment is required, the configured workflow can send an itemized, secure payment link by text or email.

## Customer experience

- Review the order and the itemized checkout details.
- Open the payment link on the customer's device.
- Enter payment details within the configured payment provider's checkout.

## Provider-neutral offering

Square is used in the current demonstration, but the restaurant offering is not limited to Square. We review your provider and confirm technical feasibility, permissions, required subscriptions, and cost before committing to a connection. Not every provider or POS is automatically supported.

## Confirm status

Sending a link does not mean payment has been received. The proposal defines how payment status is checked, how the order reaches staff, and what happens when a payment is incomplete or fails.

## No spoken card details

Customers are not asked to read card information to the AI assistant. Payment processing and card data stay within the configured provider's checkout experience.
