# Does the voice assistant collect credit-card information?

No. Customers are not asked to speak their card information over the phone.

## Use checkout

When advance payment is required, the system can send an itemized, secure payment link by text or email. Customers enter their payment details through the configured payment provider's checkout on their own device.

## Keep responsibilities clear

The payment provider handles the checkout and payment processing. Provider compatibility, merchant account access, payment status handling, and processing fees are reviewed during discovery.

## Do not send card details to support

Use the payment provider's approved process for payment-method questions. Your staff should not ask customers to put full card details into call notes, ordinary email, or a public consultation form.
